Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, July 11, at Groesbeck Funeral Home.
James Ryan was born in in Montgomery County, Texas, to Ronnie Lynn and Kelley Dianne (Rancher) Bates. He graduated in the Kingergarten Class of 2009 at Groesbeck I.S.D.
He is preceded in death by great-grandparents, Roy and Helen Bates; and nephews, Hunter Bates and Trevor Bourgeois.
