It should be noted that the date of birth given on her death certificate is 2 Feb 1881. This date cannot be correct because she is enumerated on the 1880 Galveston County Census on 2 June 1880.

She was the daughter of Denis William Fitzwilliam and *Frances Ann Shannon Fitzwilliam
(Her death certificate lists Agnes' mother as Margaret Shannon. Margaret Shannon is actually her mother's sister. Agnes' son James Robertson Anderson is the informant and his grandmother, Frances Ann Shannon died in 1913, before his birth. His aunt Margaret Shannon lived with the Fitzwilliams until her death.)

She was the sister of Thomas Fitzwilliam, Amelia Fitzwilliam Felder, John Benard Fitzwilliam, and Denis James Fitzwilliam

According to "The Fitzwilliam, O'Brien and Watson Families: History and Genealogy, by Dorothy Garesché Holland, January 1973, their father "was an accountant with the Moody Cotton Brokers" He died in 1891.

June 5, 1900: Their address is listed as 1227 Avenue H in Galveston. Several members of her mothers family are also living at the home. Agnes is working as a Telegraph Operator.

September 8-9, 1900: The devastating Galveston Hurricane. Mrs. Holland's book states that their "home was the only one remaining for four blocks". It is speculated that it was protected by the nearby Catholic Cathedral

In about 1914, she married James Robertson Anderson, who was born in Scotland. They move to Cincinatti, Ohio were their 2 children, Frances Margaret and James Robertson, Jr. are born.

Her husband dies on 15 Mar 1926 and she in the children moved back to Galveston. She lived at the family home until her death in 1942.
