Hunt - Carr Engagement Made Known

FOREST, April 19 - Mr. and Mrs. William Robert Hunt of Forest, are announcing the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Gladys, to Albert B. Carr of Newton.

The wedding will be solemnized on Sunday, May 25, at 9 o'clock in the morning, at the First Baptist church in Forest.

Miss Hunt is a graduate of East Central Junior college, Decatur, and is now employed at the Farmers and Merchants Bank in Forest.

Mr. Carr, son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard A. Carr, of Newton, attended East Central Junior College, and during World War II, he served in the army. He is presently employed at the post office in Newton.

Announcement Party

The engagement of Miss Hunt to Mr. Carr was revealed at a dinner on Thursday, given by Miss Lilybel Hunt and Mrs. Merle Palmer, in the home of the latter in Forest.

Guests found their places at the beautifully appointed table, which was overaid with an imported cut-work cloth and centered with a handsome arrangement of daisies. Cleverly concealed, under a daisy, in the artistic place cards, was the announcement of the forthcoming marriage, revealing that sometimes "daisies do tell."

The hostesses gift to the bride- elect was china in her pattern.
