Christine moved with her parents and step-brother Palmer Henry Williams to the District of Columbia in abt 1909. She attended Central High School from which she graduated in 1925. Christine then attended George Washington University and Wilson Normal School in Washington, D.C. receiving her Masters Degree in History from the George Washington University. She taught briefly at Trevecca Nazarene College in Nashville, TN. She was pastoring a Nazarene Church in Laurel, DE at the time of her marriage to Roy Bowers, who was pastoring the Nazarene Church in near by Harrington, DE. After the passing of her husband she moved to Columbia Park, MD before moving to John Knox Village, Lee's Summit, MO where she passed away. She and Roy had three children: Stanley, Elizabeth Anne and Rodney Lee.
