JAMESTOWN -- Carl Dean Gilbert, 52, Jamestown, died Friday, Feb. 8, 2008.
He was born Nov. 5, 1955, at Concordia, the son of Joe B. and Victoria L. Tatro Gilbert.
He married Christine Jensen on March 2, 1978 in Arkansas. They later divorced.
Carl was a welder for Sunflower Manufacturing, Beloit.
Survivors include 3 daughters, Felicia Snodgrass and husband Doug, Natasha Gilbert and Kelsey Gilbert, all of Larned; his mother, Victoria Gilbert, of Jamestown; 2 brothers, Matthew and Ben, both of Jamestown; 2 sisters, Carol Ann Saint of Concordia and Leta Burks of Beloit; and a granddaughter, Kaylyn Snodgrass.
He was preceded in death by his father; a brother, Joseph J.; and a grandson, Peyton Snodgrass.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2008, at 10:30 a.m. at the Jamestown United Methodist Church with Pastor Debbie Smith officiating. Friends may call Monday from 1-8 p.m. at Nutter Mortuary, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorials will be designated by the family at a later date. Burial will be in Jamestown Cemetery. Nutter Mortuary, 116 E. 6th St., Concordia, KS 66901, is in charge of arrangements.
