Matthew Jason Cheatwood, 24, Fayetteville, died Nov. 1, 1998. He was killed in an ATV accident. He was born May 7, 1974 in Fulton County, Ga. and was a 1991 graduate of Fayette County High School. He was owner of the Southern Rod and Custom Shop in Jonesboro and was a member of the Georgia Outsiders Car Club.

Services were held at the Carl J. Mowell Chapel, Fayetteville, with the Rev. Hugh Kirby officiating. Interment was at Camp Memorial Park, Fayetteville.

Survivors include his parents, Preston and Patsy Cheatwood, Fayetteville; a brother, Joshua Paul Cheatwood and a sister, Mandy Cheatwood; grandparents, Duane and Wyatt Moore, Fayetteville; and a niece, Sydney Marie Wagner.

Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Fayetteville, was in charge of the arrangements.
