A native of Stafford County, Kansas, he was ordained a Christian Church minister in 1921 and had served in Oklahoma, Colorado, Washington, Falls City and Dallas before his retirement in 1965.
Surviving are his widow, Olive, Dallas; a daughter, Adele Seymour, Salem; two sons, Byron, La Puente, California, and Robert, Otis Orchards, Washington; a brother and four sisters, all out of state; 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in Dallas First Christian Church. Interment will be at 2 p.m. in Willamette National Cemetery, Portland. Bollman Funeral Home has charge of arrangements. Contributions in his memory may be made to the State Camp and Conference Scholarship Fund at Dallas First Christian Church.
