"Wayne H. Spackman Logan-Wayne H. Spackman, 68, passed away at LDS hospital due to complications from a 4 year battle with cancer on July 10th, 2009. Wayne was born in Logan to Henry E. and Reta Spackman. He grew up in Smithfield. He graduated from North Cache High School in 1959. He was in the Army Reserves from 1959 to 1966. He spent 68 years in the school of hard knocks. He married Marilyn Stalder on Oct. 14, 1960. They had 3 children, Craig, Teresa, and Vicki. They were later divorced. He married Judi Jensen on May 24, 1981. Their family included Cory, Mellanie, and Justin. Wayne worked for Sears Floor covering, R and S Floor Covering, King's Carpets, and Dale's Mobile Homes. He was a crusher operator for 26 years working for both LeGrand Johnson and Parsons Construction Companies. Wayne was a member of the LDS church serving as a High Priest. Wayne could do anything. He loved snowmobile racing, woodworking, and going on trips to the dunes with his dune buggy. He had a passion for gardening. His nickname was "THE INSTIGATOR." He was a teaser and loved to play jokes. Cancer took his life, but not his sense of humor. Wayne loved his family. He cherished visits from his kids and grandkids. One of his dreams was to live long enough to see his great grandchild Hayden and he did. Wayne is survived by his wife Judi, his children; Craig (JaLene) Spackman, Teresa (Chad) Kendrick, Vicki Alvares, Mellanie (Michael) Miller, and Justin Ferguson, his grandkids; Jason (Emily) Spackman, Chris Spackman, Chase Robison, Cydnee Robison, Aly Kendrick, Brittany (Nicholas) Moore, Branden Alvares, Jessica Miller and Cory Miller, his great grandchildren; Ethan Haslam, and Hayden Moore. He was preceded in death by his parents Henry and Reta, a sister Elaine (Ross) Godderidge, and a son Cory Allen Reeder, brother; Dallan (Carol) Spackman, and sister; Margaret (Kay) Campbell. Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 PM on Wednesday, July 15, 2009 in the Logan 3rd Ward Chapel, 250 North 400 West. Family and friends may call from 6:00-8:00 PM Tuesday, July 14, at the Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 E Center Logan and from 10:30-11:30 AM at the church prior to services.
