Mr. Krone had been a farmer in Sangamon County for many years.
He was a member of Sangamon County Farm Bureau and the Grace Lutheran Church.
He was preceded in death by a daughter.
Surviving are his wife, Elsie Haught; six sons, Clarence, of Riverton; Fred, of Springfield; Raymond, of Pleasant Plains; Harry, of Melrose, Mass.; Robert, of Carlinville; and Emil Jr., of New Berlin; one daughter, Mrs. Verlyn (Viola) VanDyke, of Girard; two sisters, Mrs. Olinda Krohne and Mrs. Margaret Valentine, both of St. Louis, Mo.; 14 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Services were at Bisch Memorial Home.
Burial was in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
