Alma Ross Hanlin, 90, of Mt. Storm, died Tuesday, Dec.31, at Garrett County Memorial Hospital, Oakland.

Born Feb. 19, 1895 in Hartmansville, he was the son of the late James A. Hanlin and Bessie E. (Lemon) Hanlin. His wife, Helen F. (Anderson) Hanlin, died in 1940.

He was the former owner of the A. R. Hanlin Grocery Store in Mt. Storm. Mr. Hanlin was also a former timberman in the area.

An Army veteran of World War I he was a member of Mount Storm United Methodist Church.

He is survived by five daughters, Mrs. Eileen Minnick and Mrs. Wanda Clark, both of Mt. Storm, Mrs. Wilda Beckwith, Camp Springs, Md., Mrs. Lois Luffey, Lexington Park, Md., Mrs. Rosalie Flesher, Thornton; one son, Larry Hanlin, Fort Union, Va.; two sisters, Mrs. Ethel Alderton, Mt. Storm and Mrs. Anna White, Clarksburg; one brother, Charles Hanlin, Mt. Storm; 21 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.

Services were conducted at the Mount Storm Methodist Church, Friday, Jan. 3, by the Rev. William Anderson.

Graveside military rites were accorded by members of the Mt. Storm and Petersburg VFW.

The family requests that memorials take the form of contributions to the Mount Storm United Methodist Church or the Mount Storm Rescue Squad.

The Stewart Funeral Home, Oakland, Md., was in charge of arrangements and interment was in Hartmansville Cemetery
