She was the daughter of Bartolomew Belden Mason and Mercy Moore Whitcomb Mason.
On April 12, 1864 as Anna L. Mason, she married General Pratt in Carroll County, Indiana.
They were the parents of an additional three children: Mason Delano Pratt (1865-1947); Marion Cora Pratt who was born October 2, 1868 and Nana Laura Pratt who was born July 27, 1871.

Anna L. Pratt was 83 years old and a native of New York. She died Saturday night, August 27, 1927 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Guy Leroy Stevick in Atherton, California. Private funeral services were held at the Stevick residence. She was the widow of General Richard Henry Pratt, founder of the Carlisle Indian School. Survivors included one son, Mason D. Pratt of San Francisco and two daughters: Mrs. Stevick and Mrs. Edgar M. Hawkins of Rochester, New York. Interment was in the east at the National Cemetery at Arlington.

Rites for Mrs. A.L. Pratt
Mrs. A. Laura Pratt, widow of Brig. Gen. Richard H. Pratt, United States Army who died at Palo Alto, California will be buried in Arlington National Cemetery beside the body of her husband this morning at 11 o'clock. General Pratt, a Civil War veteran, who established the Carlisle Institute for Indian youths at Carlisle Barracks, Pennsylvania died in 1924.
