Funeral services for Elmer Roy Mortimer, 66, of Rirnersburg, who died New Years Day, will be conducted 2 p. m. today In the Moore Funeral Home here. Rev. Samuel Allaman of the Rimersburg First Methodist Church will officiate. Interment will be in the Rimersburg Cemetery.
Born October 21, 1893, in Rimersburg, he was the son of Phillip and Sarah Belle Downs. He was married to Grace Hawk, May 3, 1917.
Hr. Mortimer was a member of the Methodist Church here and the Keystone Bible Class of the church. He also was a member of the United Mine Workers of America.
Surviving are his widow, five children, John of Buffalo, N.Y., Robert of Rimersburg, Mrs. Lloyd (Jean) Sharrar of Tionesla, Mrs. Harold (Peggie) Hoy of Warren. 0., and Marilyn at home, three brothers, Edgar of Rimersburg, Paul of Blaw-Knox, Claude, of Pittsburgh, three sisters, Mrs. Dewy Cochran of Warren, 0., Mrs. Huey Rush of Warren, and Mrs. Maurice Guth, of Shippenville, and ten grandchildren.
One son preceded him in death.
