Poem read at his funeral:
Laugh with friends and family
over good times
gone by.
Rub a dog's ears
soft
warm
head pressed into your hand.
Make music for yourself
melodies dancing into
the universe.
Watch a pond at dusk
rings spread as
fish dimple the smooth
ceiling of their world.
Admire a beautiful church.
Walls I built brick by brick
soar toward heaven.
Enjoy a sunrise over the Atlantic
a moonset over the Pacific.
The motorcycle journey between
was my real goal.
Remember how I loved all
these things and think of me.
Think of me with joy.
