John G. Klingel Claimed By Death

John G. Klingel, 78, a guest at the YMCA, died yesterday afternoon in Clarks Summit State Hospital after an illness of six months.

Born in Mountainhome, son of the late Jacob and Eliza Dietrich Klingel, he lived in this city 60 years. Mr. Klingel was in the blacksmith business here for many years and later was employed for 14 years by Sprague & Henwood prior to his retirement six years ago. Mr. Klingel was a former member of Green Ridge Primitive Methodist Church.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Stephen Kosko, Cresco, and Mrs. Joseph Comstock, this city two sons, Carl J., this city, and Henry J., Bronx, N.Y.; three brothers, Henry, Stroudsburg, Edward and Elwood, both of Snydersville; seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. from the Snowdon Funeral Home, 1810 Sanderson Ave. Rev. Harold Hatton, Green Ridge Primitive Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial, Bartonsville Cemetery. Friends may call tonight from 7 to 9 and tomorrow from 3 to 9 p.m.
