PARALEE LARKINS
Paralee Beatrice Larkins, only daughter of William and Luverna Durham, was born January 27, 1901 at Tuscola, Ill., and died November 11, 1973 at the Republic County hospital, Belleville, Kansas, after a lingering illness, at the age of 72 years, nine months and four days.
She came to Kansas at an early age with her parents and received her education in the Republic schools at Republic, Kansas.
She had been a member of the Republic church since a young girl. She has lived in the Republic community most of her life.
On September 6th, 1920 she was united in marriage to Clarence Larkins, at Hebron, Nebr., and three children were born to this union.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.
Those surviving are her husband, Clarence, son, Duane and wife of Phoenix, Ariz., daughter, Willetta Spurgin and husband of Arleta, Calif., son, Dale of the home, seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 14, from the United Methodist church, Republic, with Reverend Loren Silsby officiating. Burial was in Washington cemetery near Republic.
