Elaine was a member of Bethel Christian Church.
She is survived by her husband, David A. Brooks; two sons, Dillon M. and Ryan M. Brooks; her father, Jack Vipperman; two sisters, Vicki Wheeling and her husband, Ken, and Misty Vipperman; a brother, Jack Vipperman and his wife, Carla; a niece, Amy Mitchell and her husband, Justin; and her grandmother, Pansy Vipperman.
A funeral will be held on Tuesday, April 10, at 2 p.m. at Bethel Christian Church, Spotsylvania, where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow the service at Hairfield family cemetery, Spotsylvania.
The family requests expressions of sympathy be made in honor of Phyllis Elaine Brooks to Bethel Christian Church Building Fund, Box 1479, Spotsylvania, Va. 22553; or to the Melanoma Research Foundation, 24 Old Georgetown Road, Princeton, N.J. 08540.
