Services were held at Mt. Carmel church in Balta ND on Tuesday, March 1, 1960 for Joseph Peter Eisenzimmer, 73, who died at the Good Samaraitan hospital Saturday, Feb, 27, 1960. Joseph lived in the Balta ND community about 60 years. Prior to that he was in Zeeland, Emmons County, ND. The Rev. FelizxHummer, pastor of the church, officiated at the funeral and burial services. Interment was in Mt. Carmel cemetery. Born in 1886 in South Dakota, he was the son of Peter and Mary Eva Keller Eisenzimmer. He was engaged in farming for about 30 years and also operated various stores in Balta ND. Some inspected by USDA. He was united in marriage to Catherine Hoffart Oct. 21, 1907.

They were blessed with 15 children, six of whom preceded him in death. Some of them were Peter Eisenzimmer, Peter Eisenzimmer, Barbara Eisenzimmer, and Maryanna Eisenzimmer , Peter Eisenzimmer.

Surviving besides his wife are nine sons and daughters, John, Piqua, Ohio; Joe, Jamestown ND; Carolyn, Mrs. Anton Bickler, Fargo, ND; Mary Eva Bickler, Mrs. John Bickler, Annamoose, ND; Katie, Mrs. Lawrence Slabik, Geneseo, ND; Betty, Mrs. Edmund Fettig; Fargo, ND Theresia, Mrs. John Schneider, Esmond, ND; Mike, Las Vegas, Nevada; and Bennie, Balta ND. Also surviving are 33 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
