Joseph "Joey" Curry
(March 2, 1953 - July 14, 2009)
A retired process operator in the chemical industry, he passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, July 14, 2009, of a heart attack. He was 56 and a resident and native of Plaquemine. Visiting at Wilbert Funeral Home, Plaquemine, on Friday, July 17, from 10 a.m. until service at 2 p.m., conducted by Pat Bourg, pastor. Interment in Grace Memorial Park. He is survived by a daughter, Amanda "Mandi" Curry Alexander and husband Chancy; son, Darryn Clint "D.C." Curry; mother, Elouise "Tiny" Curry; brother, Chester Curry and wife Mercedes; two sisters, Kim Comeaux, and Nellie Allain and husband Tom; mother of his children, Connie Mabile; special friend, Bonnie Williams and her grandchildren, Ciera and Cory; and three grandchildren, "his girls," Kember, Cale and Courtlyn. Preceded in death by his father, Chester Curry Sr. He was known by his many friends as "Joe Kidd" or "Kidd." The greatest love in this world were "his girls," his granddaughters. Paw Paw's joy was spending time with "his girls" and being involved in their activities.
