"Mary Elizabeth Varnon, 89, of Price's Branch, MO, died on Thursday, December 5, 2019, at the Jonesburg Care Center in Jonesburg, MO.
"Mary Elizabeth Varnon was born September 25, 1930 to Fred J. Scheible and Cargia Stotler Scheible in Bellflower, MO. She attended Bellflower High School in Bellflower, MO and worked at Brown Shoe Company in St. Louis, MO. She and her husband, Bob Varnon, Sr. traveled with McDonnell Douglas, following such airplane production and testing of F4H and F-15 Fighter planes in various places such as Lancaster, CA; Patuxent River Air Force Base, MD; Albuquerque, NM; and St. Louis, MO. She was in Quality Control for quite some time for Gear Products in Bridgeton, MO. She married Robert Leo Varnon on January 12, 1947 in St. Charles, MO, and he preceded her in death on August 13, 2001. Mrs. Varnon was a member of the Price's Branch Christian Church, a member of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post in St. Charles, MO for 40 years, the Bellflower Fireflies, and the TIE Club. She was an avid St. Louis Cardinal's Fan, as well as an avid walker, and enjoyed working jigsaw puzzles and visiting with family and friends.

"Mrs. Varnon was cremated and services were held Saturday, December 14, 2019 at Prices Branch Christian Church in Prices Branch, MO.
