He was born at pae, a son of the late Silas and Bernice Vineyard Deverick.
He graduated from Walton High School in 1936. he attended Parks Air College in East St. Louis, III., and served as a Naval Aviator in the Pacific during World War II, attaining the rank of Lt. Commander.
After leaving the Navy, he was employed by American Airlines and Trans World Airlines and for the past 40 years as a physical therapist and medical machinery repair specialist in La Jolla, California.
He is survived by his wife, Vivienne; and two daughters, C. Elise Reeves and Dana J. Tye, nine grandchildren and three great-grand children, of Salt Lake City.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Lloyd A. Deverick.
The body was cremated and will be laid to rest this summer at Rocky Branch Cemetery, Walton..
