She was the daughter of the late John W. Horton and Leila Grace Gaskins Horton. Widow of Cecil Lamar Gardner.
She retired after 27 years with Erwin Hermitage Store and after 11 years with City Drug. Mrs. Gardner was a member of Hermitage Baptist Church where she was a member of the Gleaners Sunday School Class. She was also a member of the Wateree Mothers Club.
She was predeceased by a sister, Doris Leonard and brothers, William, Walter, Clyde and Morris Horton.
