Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. tomorrow in the Chapel of the Etter Funeral Home for Jessie James Campbell, 58, who died Sunday in Marshallton, Del.
Mr. Campbell was born in Rockbridge County on April 19, 1895, son of the late Thomas Jackson and Emma Coffey Campbell.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Alice Laura Painter Campbell, 2001 West Main St., city; two sons, Melvin R. Campbell and Manley H. Campbell; one daughter, Mrs. Norman (Rachel) Farris, all of Waynesboro; five brothers, Leonard Campbell, Birmingham, Ala; Frank Campbell and Johnny Campbell, both of Roanoke; Buford Campbell, West Point; and Bernard Campbell, Stuarts Draft; one half-sister, Mrs. Etta Criss, Amherst County; ten grandchildren and one great-granddaughter, Patricia Mowry, of Belle, W. Va.
Funeral service will be conducted by the Rev. D. B. Garber, with interment in Riverview Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Elwood Campbell, Samuel Painter, Raymond Mowry, Carlyle Cunningham, Homer Campbell and Clarence Beard.
Honorary bearers will be R. A. Todd, Brodas Stone, R. H. Merian, Mack Fitzgerald, M. T. White and Frank Painter.
