MIAMI MAN KILLED IN AUTO CRASH

Red fezzes supposed to lead visiting Shriners to a Mecca of enjoyment, lead one man to his death yesterday, when Daniel Thomas 24, who was reading the red fez signs as he went along skidded and over turned his car at 2 pm yesterday.

Three men in the car with Thomas, who is part owner of the Red Star bus line, escaped uninjured. They are C.L Beach, James Proffitt and James P Kelly of Miami.

Thomas was taken to the Memorial hospital in the Griffith ambulance but never regained consciousness. His body has been sent to Miami and word sent to his wife in Blair, Va.

DANIEL THOMAS DIES IN TRAFFIC ACCIDENT

Three Companions are Injured in Automobile Upset Near Coronado.

Daniel C. Thomas, 426 S.W. Twenty-sixth road, operator of a bus line, was killed yesterday afternoon when an automobile he was driving overturned near Coronado, Fla.

Charles L. Beach on leave from the coast guard cutter Yamacraw, and James B. Kelly and John Prossitt of California, who were riding with Mr. Thomas were injured and taken to a hospital at Fort Lauderdale.

Mr. Thomas is believe to have pulled his car about sharply to avoid running off the road and in doing so turned the car over. He suffered a fractured skull.

Mr. Beach suffered a fractured arm, and Mr. Kelly and Mr. Prossitt, friends of Mr. Thomas who were picked up at St. Augustine, were shaken up.

Mr. Thomas maintained an office in Miami at 217 Hahn building.

He leaves his widow, Mrs. Virginia Thomas, who is on her way from Blairs, VA; his father, Ison Thomas Jasper Fla; three brothers, Corbet, employee of Allison hospital; Roy and P.J. Thomas of Jasper; two sisters, Lura and Inez of Jasper.

His body was brought to Miami last night and is at the W.L Philbrick Miami Beach Funeral Home. Funeral arrangements have not been completed.

Twenty-sixth road, who died Tuesday as the result of a motor car accident near Fort Lauderdale was sent to his former home in Jasper, Fla. for burial yesterday. Corbett Thomas, a brother accompanied the body. Arrangements were in charge of the W.L. Philbrick Funeral Home.
