BAKER VIEWS.
Baker, Kas., April 25.--Benjamin M. Hale died at the home of his son, E. L. Hale, April 18, 1896. He was a native of Virginia, and was born August 5, 1825. He removed to Tennessee when a young man, where he lived until September 20, 1869, when he removed to Illinois with his family. Came to Brown county, Kansas, in 1874. He suffered an attack of paralysis twelve years ago, from which he never recovered. His funeral was held at the Comet Congregational church at noon Sunday, April 19. Rev. Bixby preached the funeral sermon. His remains were buried at the Capioma cemetery by the side of his wife who died April 16, 1892.
