Robert L. Nicodemus, April 21, 1909 - Feb. 21, 1992, Robert Lee NICODEMUS, 82, Rt. 1, Akron, died at 12:40 a.m. today at Woodlawn Hospital, where he had been a patient since Sunday. He had been in failing health for two weeks. He was born near Athens to Samuel and Stella FEECE NICODEMUS. He had lived all his life in the Athens and Akron communities. On July 3, 1932 he married Esther MILLER, who died Oct. 28, 1972. He had owned and operated Nicodemus Saw Mill, near Akron, and was also a self-employed building mover. Surviving are two daughters, Carol Lee MYERS and Mrs. Marvin (Luann) WHETSTONE, both of Akron; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; three sisters, Lucille LEWIS and Louise NICODEMUS, both of Akron, and Mrs. Lafe (Grace) EDGAR, Atlanta, Mich., and a brother, Peter "Pete" NICODEMUS, Akron. Preceding in death were two brothers, Ralph and Max [NICODEMUS]. Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Foster & Good Funeral Home, Akron, with the Rev. Richard THOMPSON officiating. Burial will be in the Rochester I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Saturday and after noon Sunday.
