Carl Thomas Jackson, Sr.

Carl T. Jackson, Sr. of Potosi, Missouri was born on March 18, 1938 in St. Louis, Missouri to the late, LeCresha (Sprouse) Jackson and James Wilford Jackson. Carl departed this life on October 9, 2008 at his residence having reached the age of seventy years, six months and twenty-one days.

Carl was united in marriage to Linda Louise Sasenger on June 26, 1986 in St. Louis, Missouri.

Carl is survived by his wife, Linda Jackson of Potosi, Missouri; one daughter, Tammy Hester and husband, Paul of Branson, Missouri; one son, Carl Thomas Jackson, Jr. and Dorothy Duncan of Bloomfield, Missouri; one sister, Etta Calhoun of Oklahoma; one brother, Walter Jackson of Cape Girardeau, Missouri; eleven grandchildren, several great grandchildren, good friends, Rick Emily of Potosi, Missouri, Billy of Potosi, Missouri, also surviving are nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, Carl was preceded in death by one sister, Wanda Ragsdale, four brothers, Eddie Jackson, Clifford Jackson, Teet Jackson and Bob Jackson.

Carl enjoyed building, playing guitar and working in his garden. He loved visiting with family and friends, especially his grandchildren. Carl also enjoyed watching the History Channel, Army and Navy Shows and M.A.S.H. He will be greatly missed by all of his family and friends.

Visitation was held Sunday, October 12, 2008 from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM at the Moore Funeral Home, Potosi, Missouri.

A Funeral Service was held Sunday, October 12, 2008 at 1:00 PM at the Moore Memorial Chapel, Potosi, Missouri. Serving as pallbearers were: Micky Goodson, Timothy Russe, Timmy Russe, Jacob Swearengin, Joseph Kertz and Jeffrey Kertz.

Final Prayers and Burial took place in the Sunset Hill Cemetery, Potosi, Missouri.

Services were Entrusted to the Care and Direction of the Moore Funeral Homes, 105 Clark Street, Potosi, Missouri.
