PROMINENT IN
COUNTY, DIES
Lifelong resident of Jefferson county passes away at home.
Mrs. Jessie Fiedler Monfort life-long resident of Jefferson county, passed away at her home at 1101 East Burlington street at 12:30 a.m. today after a serious illness of three weeks. She had been in failing health for the past four years.
Mrs. Monfort was born March 8, 1867 in Jefferson county and spent her entire live in the county. She is survived by her husband, Perry H. Monfort of Fairfield, and one sister, Mrs. Clara F. Albertson of Topeka, Kan.
She married May 31, 1897 and moved from the Fiedler Homestead near Glasgow fifteen years ago to her present home on East Burlington Street.
Mrs. Monfort had an enviable church record, having been a continuous member of the Ebenezer church, six miles southeast of Fairfield for the past fifty years.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the Hoskins Funeral home with Rev. S. P. Williamson, pastor of the First Christina church in charge.
Interment will be in Evergreen cemetery.
