Dudley was a physican who was killed in an auto accident while visiting in Kentucky. He was married to Nellie Louise Straw on October 30, 1901 at Wyandot County, Ohio. He was the author of the book: History of Van Kortrys/Courtrights, and Allied Families. He proved his lineage to Revolutionary ancestor, John Courtright and became a member of the National Sons of the American Revolution on October 15, 1913, Benjamin Franklin Chapter. His parents were Alva Paul Courtright & Annie Moore Vattier.
