Funeral services for Bessie Marie Tucker, 89, of Tulsa, a retired nurses aide, were held Monday at Church of Christ with Rev. Lillard Berry officiating. Burial was in Holdenville Cemetery under the direction of Knight Funeral Home. She died Thursday at Tulsa Regional Medical Center. She was born on October 2, 1900 in Shell Knob, Missouri to William Samuel and Julia Luetta (Adams) Sturgis. She married Roy Dickson Tucker on December 16, 1917 in Bearden. He died on November 22, 1953. She was also preceded in death by her son, Leonard Leroy Tucker. She is survived by her son, Herschel Tucker of Tulsa; her sister, Cora Ellen Moore of Wewoka; and five grandchildren.
