Barto Lee Durst

Barto L. Durst, Sr., 88, of Point Pleasant, died Monday, Jan. 16, 1995, at Holzer Medical Center.

He was a retired boilermaker of Local 667-Winfield, a former employee of the Marietta Manufacturing Company in Point Pleasant and of the John Amos Power Plant in Winfield. A lifelong resident of Mason County, he attended the Wesleyan Church.

Born Jan. 25, 1906, in Mason County, he was a son of the late Henry Harrison and Hannah Elizabeth (Stone) Durst.

He was also preceded in death by his wife, Ruth (Love) Durst; son, Barto L. Durst, Jr.; nine brothers, four sisters and one step-granddaughter.

Surviving are a daughter, Patricia Ann Lee of Point Pleasant; son, Jackie L. Durst of Syracuse, Ohio; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren, and one step-grandchild.

The funeral will be held Friday, 11 a.m., at the Crow-Hussell Funeral Home with the Rev. Louis A. Hussell and Rev. H.W. Durst officiating. Burial will be in the Suncrest Cemetery, Point Pleasant.

Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday, from 6 to 9 p.m.
