John Joseph Walther, age 81, of Conway, passed away from cancer on Sunday, December 7, 2003 at Conway Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center. Mr. Walther was born on December 28, 1921 in Salamanca, New York a son of the late Ralph Walther and Marie Heile Walther. Mr. Walther was retired from the United States Air Force, and was also a sculptor, teacher and welder. He was a member of the Catholic Church.
Mr. Walther is survived by his wife of 40 years Hazel Craig Walther of Conway, Two Daughters: Kimberly Ann Limcangco and her husband Michael along with their children Delfin, Derek, Dexter, and Devon all of Phoenixville, PA; Jennifer Roberts and her husband Jeff and their son Parker, all of Little Rock, One Brother: Richard Walther of Oklahoma City, OK; along with a host of nieces and nephews, and friends. There will be a gathering of remembrance held for Mr. Walther at 11:00a.m., Wednesday, December 10, in the chapel of Griffin Leggett. Visitation will be held from 4-6p.m. Tuesday afternoon in the Garden Room. Interment will follow in Oakland Cemetery in Holland.
