RHODES, IRA H. SR., 74, of St. Petersburg, died Saturday (March 2, 1991) at Sun Bay Medical Center, St. Petersburg. He was born in Pitcairn, Pa., and came here in 1975 from Penn Hills, Pa., where he was a pipe fitter for the Westinghouse Manufacturing Co. for 35 years. During World War II, he served in the Army as a tank commander with the 186th Infantry Regiment and later attended officers training candidate school and became a first lieutenant. He was awarded the Bronze Star. Survivors include his wife, Margaret; a son, Ira Jr., St. Petersburg; a daughter, Mary Lou Lundis, Simpsonville, S.C.; a brother, Burdell, Hesston, Pa.; a sister, Margaret Cronin, Monroeville, Pa.; and seven grandchildren. National Cremation Society, St. Petersburg.

Rhodes, Sr., 74, of 2942 63rd Ave. S., St. Saint Petersburg, Pinellas County, Florida, died at 3:20 p.m. on Saturday March 2, 1991, in Sun Bay Medical Center, St. Saint Petersburg, Pinellas County, Florida. He was born April 5, 1916 in North Braddock, Pennsylvania, the son of William B. Rhodes and Grace G. Palmer. Mr. Rhodes worked in manufacturing as a pipe fitter and is survived by his wife Margaret (Lasher) Rhodes of Saint Petersburg. Arrangements were made by National Cremation Society, 4945 East Bay Drive, Clearwater, Florida. Cremation was made at Southeastern Crematory, Clearwater, Florida.
