The funeral for Henry C. Biaha, Glasco, was Monday, Sept. 7, 1987 at 10:30 a.m. at the Bohemian Hall, Glasco. Rev. Maynard Faulk officiated.

Henry Clarence Blaha, the son of Vincent and Anna Boucek Blaha, was born Feb. 14, 1903, in Ottawa County, Ks., and died Sept. 4, 1987, at St. John's Hospital, Salina, Kans., at the age of 84.

Henry grew up on the farm and attended Bluff Dale District 65 Rural School. He had lived on and farmed the same land since he was a small child.

On March 6,1929, Henry was united in marriage with Gladys C. Ziegler at Minneapolis, Kans., and two sons and one daughter were born to this union. The couple were privileged to celebrate their golden wedding anniversary in 1379. Gladys died in 1980.

Farming was Henry's life, and he greatly enjoyed working the land. He was a member of the Z.C.B.J. Lodge for more than 50 years; had served on the Stanton Township Board and the Bohemian National Cemetery Board; was a member of the Concordia Moose Lodge; and was an active member of the Glasco Senior Citizens organization. Survivors include two sons and their wives, Clarence and Donna Blaha, Salina, and Frank and Beverly Blaha, Linn, Kans.; one daughter, Mary Ann Backlin and her husband Tom, Glenview,Ill.; 14 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren,

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents; a grandson Tommy Bucklin; a great-grandson Andrew Philip Aksamit; two brothers Jaro and William Blaha; and two sisters Helen Kopac and Ella Kosar.

Interment was in the Bohemian Cemetery No, 4, Glasco, Kans,

Musicians were Berta Lou Siegrist, vocalist, and Kathryn Seely, pianist, and Marvin Prochaska, accordianist.

Casket Bearers were Danny Blaha, Daryn Blaha, Mike Blaha, Mitchell Blaha, Roy Bucklin, Steve Bucklin,

Honorary Casket Bearers were Mark Blaha, Marshall Blaha, Monte Blaha, Tim Bucklin.

Dean Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
