Obituary

Mrs Naomi Baden Jeffery died Sunday morning Jan 5,1909 aged 78 years her husband preceding her
to a better land about 16 years ago.

Naomi Baden was born in Broention England and was married to Johnie Jeffery in that country, soon after
marriage they came to this country and settled near the Highland Church where they resided until death.

To them seven children were born Robert, William, Johnie Clinton, Wesley, Lawrence and Mrs Joe(Sarah)Richard

Three of the sons are doing ministry work while two are diligently working for and helping take
care of the home and church. The daughter is filling a Christian woman's place each day of her life.

Grandma Jeffery as she was known to the neighbors selected for her funeral text just a part of a
sentence which reads as follows "She has done what she could" and no truer words were ever spoken as
you look at the good sons and daughter she raised.

Each was ready to say "She has done her work well".

She requested them to sing Rock of Ages and Beautiful white city that is coming down, for she would be
overjoyed when the family sang these songs..

The last six months of her life she spent with her son William and his family where every want was attended
to with willing hands and loving hearts, each tried to throw sunshine all around her and make
her last days ones of joy and peace. Grandma knew and appreciated this pains taking for her comfort, for
when she was free from pain she would say to her son or someone in the family "If I could feel as I do now
I would like to stay a long time with you", but when sickness and pain would come she would say "I am
anxious to go to my home in heaven."

So all through her daily life and by her walk she taught everyone who came in contact with her that it was
sweet to do her saviors bidding. One time while suffering she repeated so that all in the house could
distinctly understand "The Lord is my shepherd I shall not want."

So a beautiful life in our community has gone on to receive its reward and it leaves the home, neighborhood
and church poorer by its going, who can fill the place of the departed will be asked in the home
and answered "Mother's place can never be filled, And in the church and neighborhood they will say "Watch
and pray that we may be worthy of sitting in the seat of the righteous.
