Mrs. Victoria Gillespie Barnes, 69, of McMinnville, Tenn, a former Lawrence County resident, died Monday at 9:30 a.m. in Lawrence County Hospital in Moulton.

Services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. from Caddo Baptist Church. Burial will be in Caddo Cemetery, Guntharp directing.

Surviving are her widower, Rufes L. Barnes of McMinnville, Tenn; five daughters, Mrs. Pauline Terry of Cicero, Ill; Mrs. Sue Robinson of Birmingham; Mrs. Mildred Standridge of Kingston, Tenn; Mrs. Christine Standridge of Moulton; Mrs. Margaret Howell of Decatur; five sons, Loyd Barnes; Walter Barnes; Johnny Barnes, Decatur; Fred Barnes of Moulton; Frank Barnes of Sheffield; three sisters, Mrs. Adllia Hill; Mrs. Ola McNabb, Ypsilanti, Mich; Mrs. Roy Compton, Trinity; seven brothers, Dave Gillespie of McMinnville, Tenn; Ralph Gillespie; Paul Gillespie, Trinity 1; Almon Gillespie, Ladlon, Tenn; Thomas Gillespie of Cherokee; Floyd Gillespie of Michigan; Junior Gillespie, Kokomo, Ind; 22 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren.

Nephews will serve as pallbearers.

The body will be returned to the home of a son, Loyd Barnes of 2033 Cleveland Ave. SW, where it will remain until time to be taken to the church to lie in state for one hour prior to services.

Mrs. Barnes was a resident of Lawrence County until four years ago when she moved to McMinnville.
