Marion was the daughter of Arthur Ellsworth Perham, born July 25, 1865, and Mary Ann Hemenway, born Nov. 22, 1862, both born in Massachusetts. Arthur and Mary Ann had four children: Olive born 1884 died in infancy, Arthur Ellsworth born 1890, Marion Viola, and Gladys Clinton born 1897.
Marion married Arthur Dudley Boutillier in 1912 in Maplewood, Massachusetts. They were divorced after 1918, and Marion married her second husband, Burton Lewis Gale about 1923 in Clairmont, New Hampshire.
Her grandchildren called her "Mimi".
