"JAMES M. HALL, born Shelby County IL, 9 July 1843. Died 27 June 1932. In Civil War, 144th (sic) IL Inf at Shelbyville. After war settled near Trenton MO, later to Sullivan Co MO. Married NANCY PALMER of near Humphreys 19 Nov 1874 who died 1912. Children, MARTHA WATTENBARGER died 1910; Perry of Chula; ALLEN F, Red Wing MN; HENRY and NAOMI McCULLY of Chula. Later made home with son, PERRY."
