JUNIOR L. MUSSELMAN, 80, died at 8:35 a.m. June 8, 2005, at Lima Memorial Health System.

He was born July 18, 1924, in Lima to Oscar L. and Anna Carter Musselman, who preceded him in death. On May 16, 1954, he married Wanda M. McDaniel, who survives.

Mr. Musselman retired in 1983, as an installer for United Telephone Co. He attended Lafayette United Methodist Church, Lafayette. He was a member of Lima Pioneer Telephone Club and a life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1275. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time with his family.

Survivors also include two sons, Vaughn L. (Karen) Musselman of Pikesville, Ky., and John L. (Nichole) Musselman of Lafayette; a brother, Harry Richard (Marjorie) Musselman of Elida; three grandchildren, Sheila Askins, Abby Musselman and Ashlyn Musselman; three stepgrandchildren, Stacey, Brittany and Chad Parsley; and two great-grandchildren, Katie and Karlie Askins.

He was preceded in death by five brothers, Elmer, Alvy, Elsworth, Basal and Clarence "Barry" Musselman; and three sisters, Martha Musselman, Ethel VanHorn and Velma Painter.

Services will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday at Chiles & Sons-Laman Funeral Homes, Lewis Chapel. The Rev. James Kuhn will officiate. Burial will be in Salem Mennonite Cemetery, Elida, with military rites by VFW Post 1275.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
