Fifth Generation Christopher Stout (4)

Christopher Stout was b. in Richland, Ohio, USA, 3 Jun 1817, and d,near Kendallville, Noble, Indiana, USA, 22 Jan 1899. He m. Susanna Rice who was born in Knox, Ohio, USA, 16 Sep 1833 and d.19 Dec 1911. They were m. in Apr 1853. His parents were natives of Pennsylvania and were both deceased when he was quite young. He made his home with his Aunt Susan Shirley for a number of years. He came to Indiana in 1844 and bought and settled on a farm in Jefferson Township, Noble, Indiana, USA, southwest of Kendallville, Noble, Indiana, USA, where he spent the remainder of his life. He united with the Mount Pleasant Lutheran Church 9 Jan 1850, during the ministry of Rev. Jacob Seinle (may be Seihle) and remained a faithful member until his death. He is buried at Mount Pleasant Cem. in Sect. 2, row 8.
In 1918 there were fifteen Grandchildren and twenty-three Great-Grandchildren descended from Christopher and Susanna Stout.

Children: William Stout m. Flora Beadle, and parented two sons and one dau. They lived near Kendallville, Noble, Indiana, USA (1937).

Hubert who d. 11 Mar 1893, age 39 yrs, 17 dys. Married Delilah Black, five daughters.

John died at the age of ten months.

Fidelia Stout m. Eldon Weaverand they had three daus. The descendants of Eldon Weaver will be found in the Weaver history. Grandson Donald Herb was with the Aero Squad in France.

Stout Christopher, 82, d. at his home southwest of this city Sunday morning at 8:15 o'clock. Funeral was held from Mount Pleasant Church Tuesday morning. He located here in 1844 and was the father of Oliver Stout and Fidelia Jane Stout (Mrs. Eldon C. Weaver) of this city. published 1-27-1899
