ASHEBORO - Edith Abee Spargo, age 83, of Asheboro woke up in Heaven Thursday, July 23, 2009.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 25, 2009 at 2:00 PM at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro with Rev. Kim Snyder and Rev. Connie Snyder officiating. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Spargo was born in Belmont, NC and moved to Asheboro in 1963. She was one of the founding members of First Assembly Church and was formerly employed with Tie-Rite. Edith was preceded in death by her husband, Yates Spargo, brother, Charles Moran Abee; and sister, Margaret Helen Abee McCoy.

She is survived by her daughter, Judy Spargo of Wilmington, NC; son, Danny Spargo and his wife Sandra of Randleman, NC; grandson, Keven Spargo and his wife Helen of Graham, NC; granddaughter, Monica Parker of Ellington, CT; and her beloved companion, Snickers.

The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 PM on Saturday, July 25, 2009 at Pugh Funeral Home, Asheboro and other times at the home of Danny and Sandra Spargo, 102 Salem Court, Randleman.
