George started several successful business ventures. He purchased his first telephone company in 1946; at the time he was the youngest man in the United States to own a telephone company. In 1947 he founded Brock Directory Company. At various times he owned and operated ranches in southern and western Missouri, southeast Kansas, and Florida. He also owned motels in Arkansas and Texas. He was active in lay ministry and spoke at numerous revivals. George was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Pittsburg.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Harold Brock. Funeral services were Friday, October 12, 2007, at the First Church of the Nazarene in Pittsburg, KS. Burial in Highland Park Cemetery. (*Later moved to Wesley Chapel Cemetery.)
