A verdict of accidental death by drowning was given last Friday after the recovery of the body of Ambros George Adrian, 43, of Ben Wheeler, from the waters of Kickapoo Creek five miles north-west of Martins Mill, it was reported in Athens Saturday.
Adrian was reported to have disappeared last Sunday morning while fishing with W.A. Blue and L. Reznicek, both of Dallas.
The body was recovered about noon Friday by Van Zandt County Sheriff's officers and state highway patrolmen from the Tyler station. Justice of the Peace Bob Wisom of Canton rendered the verdict of accidental death by drowning.
Funeral services are being arranged in Canton, the report stated.
The victim is a nephew of C.C. Adrian of Athens.
