Adrian, CANTON HERALD, July 7, 1933: The ranks of the pioneer citizens of Van Zandt county were thinned Saturday, when Buchannan Breckenridge Adrian, 76, a resident of Ben Wheeler, passed away. Funeral services for the deceased were held at the Prairie Springs cemetery near Ben Wheeler 9:30 Sunday morning. Rev. Major Brown of Murchison and the members of the Pine Hill Masonic Lodge of Ben Wheeler had charge of the rites at the cemetery. B.B. Adrian was the son of John David German Adrian, a man who distinguished himself in the Civil War. B.B. Adrian was born in Smith county, east of Edom, Texas, but at an early age moved into Van Zandt County. He was a member of the Methodist church and of the Ben Wheeler Masonic Lodge. B.B. Adrian is survived by his wife, five children and one brother. The children are: A.F. Adrian, Grand Saline; C.C. Adrian, Athens; Mrs. A.C. Shivers, Grand Saline; Mrs. J.J. Colley, Ben Wheeler; Mrs. Otto Huddle, Goose Creek; K.L.M. Adrian, Ben Wheeler, is the only surviving brother.
