Gary Allen Rogers, 60, of Caldwell, passed away Sunday, July 19, 2009 at Burleson St. Joseph Health Center in Caldwell.

Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, July 22, at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Caldwell.

Services are set for 10 a.m. Thursday, July 23, at First Assembly of God Church in Caldwell with the Rev. David Ryman officiating.

Interment will follow in Caldwell Masonic Cemetery with Masonic Rites under the auspices of Warren Lodge No. 56 AF & AM of Caldwell.

Gary was born on September 2, 1948 in Big Spring, to Woodrow and Viola Ritter Rogers. He was a graduate of Big Spring High School and had received a Bachelor of Science Degree from Texas Tech.

He was a retired probation officer and served as a supervisor in the Burleson County Probation Office. He was a Past Master of Warren Lodge No. 56 AF & AM of Caldwell and was a member of Order of Eastern Star Chapter No. 976 of Caldwell.

For many years Gary participated in Operation Blue Santa in Burleson County. He was a Member of First Assembly of God Church of Caldwell.

He was preceded in death by his father, Woodrow W. Rogers; and a sister, Sue Grantham.

Survivors include his wife, Claudetta Prosise Rogers, of Caldwell; mother, Viola Rogers, of Houston; daughters and sons-in-law, Tamatha Thompson, of Conroe, Jacqueline and Carlos Rogers, of Killeen, Carlotta and Devin Smith, of Deanville and Cathryn and Kevin Bayer, of Lexington; stepson, Scott Turk and wife, Melinda, of Dime Box; stepdaughter, Jennifer Moneyhon and husband, Brandon, of Mason; sister and brother-in-law, Rowena and Mark Brooks, of Houston; grandchildren, Nathan, Heather, Kimberly, Kiri, Savannah, Cheyenne, Kiana, Robert, Raena, Dessiny, Cody, Mikayla, Dakota, Dylan, Camdyn, Callyn, Kason, Weston and one on the way; great-granddaughter, Destiny and another one on the way.

Pallbearers will be Kevin Bayer, Devin Smith, Scott Turk, Nathan Rogers, Carlos Rogers, Don Bayer, Tom Aly and Rodney Smith.

Honorary pallbearers will be his grandsons.
