My Great Aunt Matilda "Til" B. Burns was born March 24, 1896 to parents John Francis Burns(1867-1945) and Jenny Westerman(1871-1935) in Armstrong County, Pennsylvania.
Til was one of seven living children, 6 girls and 2 boys: Edna Mae, Harry H., John Francis II, Mary Florence, Viola Bessie, Hazel E. all of Armstrong County.
Til married John H. Gradwell(1895-1972)on June 26, 1914 in Kittaning, Armstrong County, Pa. They had three daughters together: Geraldine (Perks) and Margaret (Burhart) and Nancy Deering.
Til died at the age of 88 on November 4, 1984 in the Frenchtown Convalescent Center, Monroe, Monroe County, Michigan. She is laid to rest along side her husband John in Roselawn Memorial Park, 13200 South Dixie Hwy, LaSalle, Michigan 48145
