Funeral service for Rollen "Jack" Crawford was held last Thursday afternoon at 2 p.m. in the H.S. Smith Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Harold Wilder officiating. Interment was in Maple Cemetery.
He was born on Nov. 28, 1892 in California, Mo., and died at the Pemiscot Co. Memorial Hospital in Hayti, Mo. on Aug. 8, 1972, age 79 years, 8 mos. and 10 days.
The son of the late Edwin & Frances Crawford, he attended schools in California, Mo.
On Dec. 12, 1913 in California, Mo. he was united in marriage to Miss Myrtle Mae Williams. The family moved to Caruthersville, Mo. in 1929 from Poplar Bluff.
Mr. Crawford was employed by Ark-Mo. Power before retiring. He received his "40 Year Pin" in 1970. He was a member of the Baptist Church.
Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Myrtle Mae Crawford of Caruthersville; 5 sons Harrel R. of Spenard, Alaska; Emory Leon of Roxana, Ill.; Seth W. of Rochester, N.Y.; Rollen Kenneth Crawford of Caruthersville, Mo.; and Wilford Lee of Caruthersville; 2 daughters Mrs. Evelyn Sammons of Hot Springs, Ark. and Mrs. Doris A. Shipp of Woodbury, N.J.; a sister Mrs. Maud Smith of California, Mo.; 17 grandchildren and 3 great, great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Joe Ledford, Charles Malin, Carl Hill, Dallas Latimer, Billy Simmons and Paul Croft.
