Again this community is saddened
by the death of two young men,
Howard Markham, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Ernest Markham, and George
Maurer, son of Mr. and Mrs. Phil
Maurer, who were drowned at
Pleasant Lake last Saturday afternoon.
Double funeral services were
held on Tuesday afternoon, at 2:30
o'clock in the Congregational church,
Rev. E. H. Van Scoy officiating.
They were laid to rest, side by side,
in the Lysander cemetery. Our entire
community sympathizes with these
bereaved families.
