Buried on a ridge across from the O'Hair-Trent Cemetery in Trent, Wolfe Co. KY. William was assassinated on his birthday during the Civil War by the Home Guard. Wife Mary Polly Nickell O'Hair is buried in the O'Hair-Trent Cemetery within view of William's resting place.. He rests with son Huston O'Hair and Mary's brother Andrew Nickell. There are no markers or signs of burials. Confirmed by two separate sources: long-time residents of the area.
