Anna Mary Bielecki Lansing On Thursday, July 23, 2009, Anna was led home by the angels to be with her Lord and family. Anna was born May 18, 1917 in Poland to the late Mary Anna and Andrew Dechnik. At the age of four, Anna's parents came to America. Because of an illness, she stayed in Poland until she was 17, when she joined her family in America. Anna retired from General Motors in 1979. She was a active member of St. Casimir Parish, the Polish Falcons of America Nest 652, where she once served as Vice President and was awarded the Gold Legion of Honor Cross. Anna spoke three languages fluently including Polish, English and Russian. She enjoyed gardening and cooking. The twinkle in her blue eyes and her infectious never ending smile made Anna one in a million. She was truly loved by all! Anna was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 60 years, Steve; siblings, Angelina and Edward and her daughter, Lucy. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, 11:00 a.m. at St. Casimir Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Bill Lugger as Celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Palmer, Bush and Jensen Family Funeral Homes, Lansing Chapel and Monday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the church. A rosary will be prayed Sunday evening at 6:30 p.m. For those wishing, memorial contributions may be made to St. Casimir Church Building Fund or the Polish Falcons Nest 652. A special thank you is extented to the staff of Grand Haven Living Center for the compassionate care they gave Anna for the past 5 years.
