HARLAN - Arnold George Andersen, son of Martin and Johanna Jensen Andersen was born April 30, 1914, at Clay Center, NE. At a young age his family moved to the Tennant area, where he was educated in the Lincoln twp. rural schools. As a young man he drove truck and did farm work.

April 15, 1939, he married Evelyn Meier at Harlan. They had farmed in the Harlan area until 1973, when they retired to Marian where he had drove school bus and worked at Coast to-Coast part-time. He was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church. He died Dec. 9, 1991 at Myrtue Memorial Hospital in Harlan, at age 77 years, 7 months and 9 days.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Harold during WW II.

Survivors include his wife, Evelyn of Harlan; a son, Allan (Myrna) of Harlan and two brothers, Robert and Raymond, both of Harlan; two grandchildren; his mother-in-law, Irene Meier of Harlan; nieces and nephews and other relatives.

Funeral services were held Dec. 12, 1991, at the Immanuel Lutheran Church with Rev. Otto Zwanziger, officiating. Burial was in the Harlan cemetery with Gerald Anderson, Quentin Rickers, Dr. Charles Early, Robert H. Paulsen and P.M. Petersen honorary casketbearers and Jerry Rold, Waldo Johansen. Date Lauritsen, Charles Andersen, Harold E. Johnson and Lavon Christensen active casketbearers. Arrangements by Burmeister Funeral Horn.
